As I write this, I realize I had intended to drive to Rancho Cordova to retrieve my lockbox from the gas meter last Saturday, but that's before I decided to finish the terms of my contract before it expires in two weeks at Dot Dash (formerly About.com). I've been writing on the side for that company for 12 years now! I know, how does a top producer find time for a second job, LOL? Overachiever, that's how, coupled with a strong work ethic.
I gave them my notice on Friday because we are in a dispute over compensation. However, I have not heard that it was accepted. In any case, I spaced out picking up the lockbox and now I'll have to do it today.
Which is just as well because if these buyers knew everything that went on in escrow, they definitely would greet me with the garden hose. Not everybody loves listings agents until it becomes their time to sell.
We pulled the buyer's preapproval upon offer submission and suggested the buyer transfer to a different lender who, believe it or not, delivered loan docs in 12 days, though. You can read more in my personal blog at this link: The Story of Selling an Overbuilt Rancho Cordova Home.
