Relationships Trump Neighborhood Expert - EVERY SINGLE TIME

Back in 2015 I got an internet buyer lead for a neighborhood called Wynstone. It's a gated golf community in North Barrington. The buyers were interested in a bank owned property in an exclusive small section of Wynstone called The Point. With golf course views across the waterfront location it's a beautiful area.

We toured the home and they wanted to buy it. Because it was bank owned it was a struggle for so many reasons but in March 2016, 7 months later, we closed. Move on just over a year and they moved into their newly renovated home. It's just gorgeous! Now it's time to sell the existing home. They move out, prepared it for sale and we went to market.

The home is located in Biltmore subdivision. Another golf course neighborhood, this time with eclectic unusual properties offered, it would take a little while to attract the perfect buyer. Yesterday we closed, the buyers have stars in their eyes they love it so much.

As that chapter closes my client has already asked me to sell his rental and enquire about a lot of land. He called me this morning to put those two transactions into play. He also told me that his neighbor, an agent and the self proclaimed neighborhood expert of Wynstone, had told him she could not understand why he did not hire her to sell the Biltmore home. 

Because he said, Corinne is our REALTOR! She helped us buy this house and is there when we need her.

You see we have a fabulous relationship and nothing the neighborhood experts could do would break that. Her attitude in my opinion is more than a little conceited!

The best part of this is my internet marketing and continued relationship beat the neighborhood expert to what should amount to 5 transactions. I also helped him with his rentals. So when you get to work with wonderful people, nurture the relationships, it will trump the neighborhood expert, every, single, time.
