Do your Past Clients recommend you on Next Door?

Hi Joan, I have tried getting my listings on NextDoor myself. I think in our area it happens automatically - if I sponsor a zip code (as I do), then NextDoor pulls my listings from MLS for that area. It seems to be a good tool.

That is very cool and I don't know if any of my clients have given me a testimonial on NextDoor, I don't really pay attention to that site.

I haven't really paid that much attention to it. It is sweet that your client would feel motivated to give you a testimonial on the site. I'm sure it can't hurt. :) 

Although I am signed up on Next Door, I eventually quit because some of my neighbors are racists and really quite evil. I don't want to know that much about any of them. I've heard others in other parts of the country complain about that website. There is something about bringing neighbors together in an environment where they normally would not exist that breeds this crap. So I don't want any part of it.

I direct my reviews to places where buyers and sellers expect to find them.

Nextdoor is a very important site for recommendations. I regularly make recommendations.

Hi Joan.  I have not looked into NextDoor, but will see if I can use it to my advantage.

I sponsor a couple of zip codes in my area, and would be interested in connecting with other real estate brokers/agents that are Nextdoor Neighborhood Sponsors. I'd like to share best practices, and Nextdoor doesn't seem to have a framwork for that, or a way for agents in various areas to connect. I have been a lead for my own neighborhood for years.  I just closed on a lead that I got late last year from nextdoor.  A lot of local realtors are already sponsoring my neighborhood and plenty of members are constantly sending "I'm" the best realtor posts, etc.  

I have posted my town's stats for years - sometimes monthly others quarterly.  I never made it about myself...or my company...there are so many realtors I think people get tired of the self-promotion and now that its "paid" sponsorship they will get immuned to it.   

Hopefully, they will remember that I was the 1st and never was "pushing" the fact that I sold homes and just gave them information on the community and I will get other leads.
