A gardener's passion...

A gardener's passion cultivates from soul to soil, seed to sown to sincerely sated. Ahhh! ~ Wanda Kubat-Nerdin/Nerdin Gardens

Another growing season is upon us at Nerdin Gardens in southern Utah. Roses of every hue are open to cooler evenings. Pansies are popping, Snapdragons are riotous, the Clematis and Geraniums in bright bloomery with fresh greenery all around.

Grape vines are heavy with future promise. The strawberry patch has given more than our fair share. The orange and lime trees have multiple orbs and blossoms. Peach, cherry and almond trees are well on the way to fruition.

An exciting time for us as we amend the soil, cultivating the garden with a clear plan to be blessed with bearing gifts. Soon, the vegetable garden will be planted with tomatoes, zucchini, crook neck squash, peppers and so on.

Nerdin Gardens 2018 is alive and well with expectations to be met! Speaking of expectations, how are you faring with your business plan for the year? I hope that you are on track to a stellar selling season and wish you well.

Happy sales!

That's beautiful Wanda Kubat-Nerdin - Wanda Can! We have been planting and this is the earliest I remember us getting a garden in so let's hope we don't have a late freeze.

What a wonderful photo, glad your garden is doing so well. Nothing Trudy likes better than getting her hands into the soil. We have had so much rain recently that everything is a little over watered and suffering, we need some dry sunny days to dry out.

Wanda,

I am looking forward to seeing additional photos of your amazing garden, and love " Fron Soul to Soil"  In the wine growing business it would be reversed, because soil age and location is the big differentiator. A

I've still got MUCH to do in our gardens, particulary cleaning out the winter debris and spring weeds.  Fortunately the flowers aren't waiting on me and I'm seeing new blooms every few days.  Always nice to see those surprises.  Bill

Morning Wanda.

I think my wife has planted one tomato plant and a pepper one.  Otherwise, we go to our local market.  Sigh

Sending warm thoughts your way Bob "RealMan" Timm. One year, we had 2 late frosts that came our way due to a severe cold front up north. Thankfully, we were still able to have successful results!

Hope it gets turned off there for a bit. We were supposed to get rain a day ago but it passed us by Nick & Trudy Vandekar, 610-203-4543. I welcome the rain when it does show, especially being in a high desert climate!

The vegetable garden is still in the works Ron and Alexandra Seigel. My husband tore his ACL and has been limited in his mobility. We are making progress and hope to have it in this weekend and will take photos for sure. (Yay!) We watched a special on vineyards and how important the age of the grapevine plays in successful wines.

Good morning James Dray. I thought we were going to do that too a few weeks ago due to an injury, my husband's knee. We will get the rest of the garden planted this weekend!
