The Colors of Carlsbad Art Wall Mural May 2018 - The Name Says it All
The Carlsbad Art Wall has a new mural, painted this past Friday and Saturday, May 19th and 20th.
The Colors of Carlsbad mural really is a special one, a tribute to our beautiful Carlsbad by the Sea, with bright colors and iconic imagery.

More importantly one of the 2 artists, Bryan Snyder, is the brainchild of the Carlsbad Art Wall, now in its 4th year, in cooperation with Senor Grubby’s, a popular Mexican Restaurant in Carlsbad Village.
Even if you don’t know the #CarlsbadArtWall by name, you no doubt have driven by and seen the changing murals these last few years, on the east-facing wall on Carlsbad village Drive, just west of the train tracks.

The Colors of Carlsbad was a collaborative effort between Bryan and fellow Carlsbad artist Sean Dominguez who, by the way, also painted a mural back in May 2017.The Colors of Carlsbad incorporates the colors selected by Pantone that best represent the feel and focus of our beautiful seaside community.
Check out other images of this mural including Opening Day, on Instagram at #ColorsOfCarlsbad (and of course all the other beautiful photos of our city with that hash tag) and #CarlsbadArtWall.

The mural was commissioned by Visit Carlsbad, and what a perfect time of year to showcase the colors of Carlsbad with summer just around the corner.
Carlsbad has quite a reputation as a growing and changing arts community, with abundant public art (this is an interactive map). Our Carlsbad Art Wall continues to be wonderful addition to our expanding and ever-changing arts community, with a new installation several times per year!
Here are some recent Carlsbad Art Wall murals I have enjoyed:
Carlsbad Art Wall January 2018
Carlsbad Art Wall November 2017
It's great fun to see each new mural, and locals often hang out to watch artists at work. What a wonderful concept to have beautiful wall art up for a few months, giving residents and visitors plenty of time to enjoy these very special, and fleeting, public art creations.
