Use FB for business great, but make sure your posts are professional

Let me clarify by saying many post are so professional and there is nothing wrong with sharing what is going on in your family. People love it! It just amazes me when people daily post cutesy poses of themselves making funny faces and think that is great!  That is the last person I want helping me buy a home. I see this constantly or people wearing suggestive outfits. I would not put that on social media anyway regardless of what I do. What are your thoughts? I know of one person, who does stupid stuff but they say it drives them business.

I agree with you and there are so many people that portray themselves in such a disrespectful manner on social media.  I keep personal stuff on my personal page and business stuff on my business page.

I don't really get some of the stuff I see on FB either.  Before I post, I try to take a moment and think how it will affect how a stranger would see me.

Yolanda, I agree 100%. I don't care what a person is wearing, when they are goint to bed and say goodnight on FB, what they ate today or feeling, really drives me crazzzzzy.

Yolanda, I so agree, and want only to post things I would want my Grandma or any one of my clients to see, even my personal page.

I have broke most of the rules for Facebook, as a business person.  I have all my family, friends, and business associates on the same Facebook page.  I often feel limited in what I can post.  I should have created a second page for business only.

Yolanda more and more folks are saying bye bye to Facebook.  It's gotten beyond crazy the mess they created for so many people.

The younger agents do that all the time and I suppose their friends think it is fun and therefore might bring them business. It isn't my style.
