Making the Most of Your Community Involvement

Real Estate Technology with IXACT Contact Real Estate CRM

As a great real estate agent, you know all the real estate trends of your community. You are an expert at all the market stats of your area. But are you using your knowledge of the community itself to help build your business? If not, learn how to start now.

1. Build a Local Business Directory

With the level of knowledge you have of your community, you definitely know which businesses to recommend to your clients. But have you actually made use of it? Being able to recommend everything from a reliable electrician to a wonderful catering service not only positions you as a trusted expert in all things home to your clients, but builds a strong relationship with these other businesses. That means that when you recommend them, they remember. And they will in turn be much more likely to recommend you (or use you themselves!). It’s a win-win-win situation. And with IXACT Contact you can easily build your Business Directory within your CRM so it always right at your fingertips. You’ll be building relationships and referral business in no time at all.

2. Host a Community Event

You know the power of hosting events for your customers and prospects for your business, but what about for your community? You can easily build your business and give back at the same time. Instead of just hosting a private barbecue for your clients, why not organize one for charity and invite your clients and the community at large? Choose a local charity that resonates with you and you will not only be getting an opportunity to stay top of mind with those current clients, but also to connect with new contacts and to establish yourself as part of the community you work in. IXACT Contact makes it easy to invite all of your contacts with customizable Mass Emails. Simply create one email, send to all of your relevant contacts, and do some good!

3. Share Your Community Involvement

Whether you have planned a community event like above, or find a way to give back in a more private way sharing this with your contacts is a wonderful way to demonstrate your commitment to the area you serve. You help out your community because you are invested in it – let people know! With IXACT Contact there are multiple ways to do this. The first is to include a custom story about it in your monthly e-Newsletter. Simply swap out one of our created-for-you articles for one about how you gave back! You could also put the news on your free agent website by writing a simple blog post. The blog post can easily be shared on all of your social media channels, spreading the word about your commitment and also drawing more people to your website in the process!

There you have it, 3 simple ways to make the most of your community involvement for your business. You are involved anyway, why not make that involvement do more for you? Everyone stands to benefit, so don’t wait to get started.

Bill and I host a monthly "Full Moon Concert" to raise awareness of a beautiful place in our community - Hamilton Gardens at Lake Chatuge.  The concerts raise a wee bit of money for the Gardens, but more importantly, it brings people to the venue that never knew it was there.  This, in turn, not only raises money for the Gardens but keeps our names top of mind as well.  A win-win!
