It is interesting to watch and listen to real estate agents, looking for the key, for the answer, for the thing to do or say to get more business.
When in fact it is rather simple:
Be brutally honest
Always be on time, (that means NEVER be late, NEVER)
Know a lot of people, if you don’t know 300 or more who trust you and like you get to know them, and do it quickly, because life REALLY IS SHORT.
Do what you say you are going to do. Your reputation precedes you.
Currently everyone who gets out of the house a few times a week, knows at least three real estate agents.
Therefore, when it comes to you meeting someone who does NOT know you, and you asking them for business, your chances are very slim.
That person knows three other agents. And it doesn’t matter if you have helped 500 families sell or buy a home and been in the business 23 years, that person knows someone who has had a license seven month, and almost sold a home once, but they also trust and like them, and don’t know you from Adam.
Bottom liken, the key is getting to know 300 or 500 people, and remember some of those you get to know this week, this year, already know three other agents who they trust and like.
