Unethical Phoenix RE company Soliciting Active Listings

By
Real Estate Agent with Arizona Elite Property

The Phoenix AZ RE market is crazy right now, there is enough for everyone out there (RE Companies), but then you find the company that has to be unethical, YES unethical call other agents ACTIVE  listing and ask them if they are thinking of relisting in the near future. WHAT did I just here,  that's exactly what I heard. I fumbled to look and see who was calling. Ah ha the company name was captured with true caller application, it was a call using  Google. They thought they were speaking with the seller(owner). WRONG she proceeded to speak and said if I was interested she would have someone call me back.

I took their # and said I would call them back after I got their contact info. I spoke with my broker and he said unless you can prove it there is nothing you can do. he says its a shame that some brokers are unethical.  I guess not surprising. He said there is an app called call recorder and it is legal in AZ to record. So that is what I did download the application.

They called me back 2 days later another person and said I spoke with someone else and they said I wanted to relist. Once more this caught me off guard. I told them I was busy once more and got broker info and contact info again.. Then they called this morning once more. persistent people most likely gonna get a bonus for everyone they flip. I sent an email to the owner of the company and a voice mail. I also send a voice mail to the office manager.

Wonder if I will get a call I asked them BOTH to call me to discuss this matter.

WHAT would you do if this happened to you! how would you handle it.

Unscrupulous enterprises exist everywhere and in all types of businesses from a simple grocery market to high-end real estate developers. Just need to stay on our toes and defend our turf.
