  We were talking with a former Seller/Buyer the other day.  We sold her home when she divorced and sold her a condo when she started her new life as a single person. (Divorce IS the niche that keeps on giving and our purple envelopes keep in touch with Sellers who become Buyers.)purple envelope

    We had met her parents...also a part of the purple envelope mailing list and they are now considering selling their home and moving to a senior living complex. In the newsletter we feature different aspects of home ownership from decorating to energy savings, new products, maintenance reminders and other topics our readers find of interest.We talk about the preparation in getting ready to sell a home and that we are happy to come and discuss some ideas that help the homeowner put "their best house forward." 

     Our purple envelope touches often mean "multi-generational sales"....the parents, grandparents, children of people who have been our past buyers and sellers are referred to us.  Sometimes people adopt the "it was good enough for us all these years..." sort of stance...and we repect that. We do exactly what this woman's daughter said we would do....that is...if you want to.....paint, remove wallpaper...etc.  we believe you will get $X....if you would rather not do as we suggest, we believe the price will be $Y. 

    Painting is not a requirement...it just helps "put the best property forward"....wallpaper removed, home decluttered...windows washed, closet contents paired down...we are happy to help make suggestions. It is always the Seller's choice as to what they choose to do to get their home "market ready."
