Don’t Miss the 2018 Aloha Plunge in Carlsbad
It’s June and time to say ALOHA TO SUMMER and celebrate the first days of summer. Come hang out at the ALOHA PLUNGE in Carlsbad on Saturday June 23, 2018, just 3 weeks away!
This year’s Aloha Plunge, as in the past, will be held at the Alga Norte Community Park Aquatics Center in the La Costa area of South Carlsbad beginning at 5 PM.
The Carlsbad Aloha Plunge will be limited to 600 participants and registrations are going fast, at a cost of $10 per person; children age 3 and under FREE. So don't wait too long - get your wrist bands now so you don't have to wait in line.
You can pick up wrist bands in advancet the Aquatics Center between beginning June 2 during normal business hours. There are no refunds for lost wristbands!
Carlsbadians, bring your swimming suit and enjoy the Hawaiian-themed fun in the pool plus games (e.g., Tropical Tic Tac Toe; Sea Creature Launch; Tiki Toss); enjoy a Hula Show at 7:20 pm and a tropical bounce house; challenge your talents with several water obstacles and the "Key Logs" to test out your balance and skills.
And you can enjoy plenty of made-to-order food at the Dive In Grill during the event.
The fun ends with a movie, starting at dusk, on a huge outdoor screen; this year’s feature will be “Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked.”
Alga Norte Community Park is one of Carlsbad's favorite, and newest, parks with a host of features, including a terrific dog park, now open for several years.
NOTE: Alga Norte Community Park will also host the last 2 TGIF Concerts in the Parks (of a free series of 9) in August on the 10th and 17th this summer. These concerts are a DON’T MISS event in the Carlsbad summer entertainment season.
