"I don't mean to brag but I put together a puzzle in 1 day and the box said 2 - 4 years."
My sister-in-law (my late husband's sister) is here from Arizona for the summer. She loves putting together puzzles so when I won a couple of Scramble Square puzzles in a golf basket I thought this would be an awesome challenge for her. Scramble Squares are only 9 pieces and, yet, are considered to be possibly the worlds most difficult puzzle. There are dozens of different Scramble Square options to purchase. I won the Hummingbirds and Ice Cream.
So, I pulled out the Hummingbird Scramble Squares for Connie, with it's measly 9 pieces. She says "Oh, that'll be easy". HaHa. She worked on it for 2 days and gave up. Mind you, this woman can put together difficult 750 piece puzzles in a few days. She could NOT figure out how to solve this 9 piece puzzle.
So, when my kids and grandkids came to visit this weekend I pulled out the Ice Cream Sundae Scramble Square and everyone was hooked. Unfortunately, the kids had to leave before the whole family could solve the puzzle together. My 13-year-old great-granddaughter, Alicen, was the most committed to finishing it so I sent it home with her. As we were working on the puzzle I said: "Doesn't this make you hungry for ice cream?" Everyone said "Yes". So, the joke is that none of us can have ice cream until Alicen solves the puzzle and texts us all a picture with the message "It's time for ice cream."
We're still waiting!
