Hudson Valley Equine (Horse) Property Market

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Benchmark Realty Group
Just a few remarks regarding the current market for Equine Property here in the Hudson Valley. The current market of inventory of recreational and commercial horse farms has been maintaining their value. A few factors are important when looking at current inventory. Such as, condition, upgrades, location, number of horses property is zoned to accommodate, and amenities that the farm will offer. The recreational farm can easily be built to suit ones needs if the suitable land and residence is acquired. Make sure you are working with a Realtor who is savvy in this inventory, so you will get the best service and information possible. Happy Trails! If N.Y. doesn't suit you for horse property, then central and Southern Colorado should be the next destination you seek. The land is beautiful and many large acerage tracts still exist. Prices won't stay at their current levels for long. Come see the beauty.

Debbie,  I do quite a few appraisals for horse properties.  I somewhat agree with you regarding their values but...marketing time is increased and if you really NEED to sell, I feel values are a bit lower...
