If you love to hike then Heart Rock Waterfall, also known as Seely Creek Falls, in Crestline, California should be on your next " Go to " place. The beautiful waterfall drops about 25 feet and it has an almost perfect cut out of a heart right alongside of it.Some say the heart is big enough to hold two adults inside of it. Nestled in the San Bernardino Mountains it is roughly a 30 minute drive from the Inland Empire and an hour and half from LA.
The cascading waterfall travels around the stone heart and takes roughly a 1 mile hike to get to and of course 1 mile back. The hiking trail is beautifully landscaped with mature trees and lots of foliage. It's a trail the entire family can enjoy. Eventually, you will come to a rock ( some say ) with a heart painted on it that will direct you down to the falls. Once you get to the falls there is also a ledge that allows you to see the falls and the heart shape carved out of the rock. It is a 40 foot drop so you want to use extreme caution and definitely not allow the little ones that close. The summer time makes it hard to see the waterfall because it tends to dry up a lot unless there is a good amount of rain.
So, if you are looking for something to do and enjoy hiking, nature and have a love for the outdoors, you won't be disappointed.
