Another Happy Ending in Waxhaw!
A family, referred to me in January, had very specific but, increasingly common home-buying needs. They needed to find a large home for their larger (and still growing) family as well as one that included plenty of space for an ADU for aging parents. An ADU is also referred to as a Granny Flat or a Tiny House and it needed to be on the same property so that the parents could have their independence, yet allow for their family to care for them. It's a convenience that more and more Charlotte homebuyers are searching for.
First, lifestyle (including schools) was important to this family and we narrowed down their search to the Waxhaw & Weddington areas. We didn't have to tour many homes because the lot plat was most important to them and a quick drive-by eliminated a number of homes as well as neighborhoods that do not allow ADU's to be built. Storage buildings are permitted but, they often cannot have electricity and are limited to a size too small to be used as a tiny home.
As we searched Waxhaw Homes for Sale over the upcoming weeks & months, a true gem appeared! The seller needed some time to move out, giving our buyers plenty of time to get their current home prepped, pre-marketed and ready for buyers. Because of their flexibility with the Closing date, the seller selected their Offer! Everyone was elated and the rest is history!
They landed a perfectly lovely Waxhaw home for sale in The Reserve - in fact, I previously sold the home two doors down from them! Ironically, that lot would not have supported an ADU due to the position of the home on the lot. So, the buyers landed a fabulous home on a gorgeous, large lot in a cul-de-sac - just where they wanted to be!
Congratulations to our wonderful clients on the purchase of this home and the sale of their home, both Closing on the same day this week!
