The majority of the Independent real estate offices in BC, set a base rate which they ask their agents to quote. Typically those rates are 7% on the first $100,000 & 2.5% on the remainder. How much does it cost if I use a Real Estate professional to find and purchase my next home? In most cases the commission earned by the Realtor helping you purchase a home, is paid by the sellers of the home you purchase. In most cases a Realtor purchasing service is absolutely FREE for you to use! It all depends on what kind of agreements are agreed and signed before you are ever shown any homes. In certain circumstance's if an agent is earning a lower commission than they normally make on a transaction, the buyer could be responsible to make up the shortfall. It's for this reason, that you should know exactly what your agreeing to before going out to look at homes. If you would like a FREE No Obligation buyers Consultation click here now
