. We got a call from a homeowner referred to us...Yes...the Purple envelopes were hard at work ...wanting to sell his home and buy another after living in it a relatively short time. He knew change was needed...where to begin...where to start and stop...the former client of ours told him we an answer all his questions and get him the best price.
Due to the "put it on the market yesterday" kind of deadline we went right over and did our "inside/out" analysis. Our referral source told him that we were NOT the agents who put a sign in the yard and the listing on MLS without making all the suggestions that would earn him the best return on his real estate investment.
We flew to our favorite sources that have the best selection at the best prices on all the things we determined were needed from flooring to lighting..and snapped pictures with SKU's of each thing we recommended to make the "Houseover" an easier task for the homeowner. Listing the source, sku and picture and quickly rushed it over to him. We "shop" carefully with "Makeover Money" and he was surprised at the bottom line...lots of meaningful changes for not as much money as he anticipated. Some things required exact measures and we gave estimates and included the famour "overrun" factor . We have been there/done that...surprises are not fun in terms of expenses !
We look forward to the "Big Reveal" when the houseover is complete and getting the best possible price for this homeowner to enable him to have a bigger down payment on his next home.
