Hone in a Concise Sales Manager Minute, It Will Pay Off

    If you are a part of a networking group, you will have to hone in your sales manager moment or minute. This is the best encapsulated version of your services that can educate and request a call to action.  You may have to pitch this over the phone or in person and so preparing your perfect pitch is key.  In Highlands Ranch property management, we are constantly answering similar questions when we field new clients.  The same happens in our many networking events we attend.  Here’s how we simplified our sales commercial.

                The first thing you need to do is put it into language that the client or networking partner can understand quickly.  Depending on how specialized your field is, people may only have an idea of what your business entails, and not the gritty details.  Make sure your core language represents ideas that can be grasped easily and do away with any shorthand you may use daily.  Most people aren’t going to know what a “PMA” is right off the bat.  Describe it first before having to clarify over and over.

                Make sure you know your own content so well that you can improvise and adlib your different versions of your commercial.  This helps if you are in a position to do a pitch often or weekly.  If you come off as over rehearsed your delivery may begin to sound robotic and insincere.  Nobody wants little memorized speeches that hit the talking points in the most efficient manner.

                When delivering your sales manager moment, take special care to hold yourself properly.  Body language and posture can make or break a great presentation.  This is not as important on a phone conference but a video conference will require it.  You are still visible on screen and while you can’t make eye contact you can at least appear present.

                The most important thing to remember is to present your pitch with just the facts and don’t guilt trip anyone into doing business.  Any sort of pressure once you concluded can kill a deal right then.  Answer questions and let a closing deal come about organically.
