Una encuesta reciente llevada a cabo por Harris Poll y publicada por Sun Trust Mortgage encontró que “55 % de los propietarios de casa con un hijo menor de 18 años al momento de comprar su casa dijeron que la opinión de su hijo jugó un papel importante en su decisión de comprar una vivienda”.

 

Cuando los resultados fueron desglosados por la edad de los padres, los ‘millennials’ (aquellos entre 18 y 36 años) llevaron la delantera con el 74 % de los propietarios de vivienda diciendo que la opinión del hijo fue un factor en la elección de que casa comprar. El 83 % de los inquilinos creen que la opinión de su hijo sería un factor decisivo al buscar comprar una casa.

Todd Chamberlain, jefe de banco hipotecario en SunTrust explicó las razones detrás de la encuesta,

“Como padre de dos hijos, sé por experiencia que incluir a los niños en el proceso de compra de una vivienda no solo es divertido para toda la familia, sino también es educativo para nuestros compradores de vivienda del futuro”.
