When we talk about fitness, nutrition, dieting or getting into shape it means a lot of different things to a lot of different people. The common thread is that we're all human and our bodies are basically constructed in the same way for the most part. Generally speaking our bones are the framework, muscles allow us to move and be productive also giving us our form and fat follows us wherever we go and hinders almost everything we do to a degree.
Imagine if fat made us more energetic or faster or stronger. Grilled cheese sandwiches, hot dogs and bacon would become the Breakfast of Champions. Unfortunately I must pinch you now and wake you from this wonderful dream. Look at your body in the mirror and analyze what you see? Body types are far ranging and no matter what you don't like or for that matter do like is a direct representation of everything that you eat and everything that you do with your body. The wonderful thing about it is that it can be changed and improved.
Do you remember Newton's Third Law of Motion? Once you read it you'll recognize it: "For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction." We don't actually believe that an apple fell on his head when he discovered gravity. One of my favorite sayings is Obey Gravity, it's the Law! Life can be a struggle and Isaac Newton studied these effects noting two forces constantly at odds, there's pushing and pulling. When balanced the force of each counteracts the other and motion is eliminated, equilibrium is established.
This brings us to our well-being. We've determined that our bodies have perfectly responded to the input we've given them. We acknowledge that unless we change our habits our bodies will remain in the state they're in. We understand that change is possible even with minor adjustments in our routines. We know that if we wish to progress to better results we'll need a map to reach our destination and leave a trail for others to follow!
