When people are looking for their dream home, they will often create boards featuring things that are important to them.  An example: bathrooms, bedrooms, home theater, pool, landscape, and community boards. They will then go on a search for pins that match what they're looking for.  They add interesting pins to their boards.  It works on the same principle as a "share" on Facebook; valuable exposure for you.
