Every year on the 3rd Sunday in June, and this year on Sunday June 17, 2018 we are celebrating the Father's Day.
Father's day first was celebrated in Spokane, Washington, in June of 1910, and President Calvin Coolidge recognized father's day in 1924; then, in 1966 President Lyndon Johnson proclaimed third Sunday in June as Father's Day.
I want to share few Father's Day quotes:
I cannot think of any need in childhood as strong as the need for a father's protection. — Sigmund Freud
Any man can be a Father but it takes someone special to be a dad. — Anne Geddes
Few sons are like their fathers – many are worse, few better. – Homer, Greek philosopher and author of "The Odyssey"
A man knows when he is growing old because he begins to look like his father. - Gabriel García Márquez
The father who does not teach his son his duties is equally guilty with the son who neglects them. --Confucius
I want to wish to all the fathers at Active Rain Community, a Happy Father's Day.
