Some Things Never Change, Part 2

Real estate is a contact sport and building relationships is what makes it fun and profitable in the long run.  Marketing is an essential part of any business and you need to realize that this is your business first and you are selling real estate as a part of that.  Farming is an essential part of that business.  Some folks may not be familiar with that term but it essential means to pick an area that you would like to do business and make your self the local area expert in every way possible.  There are alot of theories about turn over rate when picking a geographic farm.  I am not sure if there is much truth to any of thee theories.  

But saying that, my plan is to take advantage of current and emerging technology to make my business run by itself without my daily adjustments. Leave it on autopilot and occasionally make mid course corrections.  I do have a Smart Zip account and this is an unpaid announcement, that I do think the data and service they provide to be very helpful,  I am a data geek and do try to limit my focus and marketing dollars on past clients who might provide referrals or repeat business.  My other dollars are spent on those who might be likely to buy or sell in the near future.  

Focus and consistency are the keys to a successful geo-farm strategy.  Knowledge is key and making informed decisions on the strategy and then executing that strategy is paramount.  I will enjoy reading other posts on this same subject because  it will help me make better decisions going forward.
