Sheila Anderson - better to go elsewhere. I feel the same way when I call for customer service and don't get it the first time. Second time, another day, a different person makes all the difference. I know longer get stressed and frustrated when that happens. There are better people in the world that deserves me and what I have to offer. If they can't help, next!

Now that you have the data you want, time to find the camera from another vendor.  

Do you have a Best Buy nearby, Sheila?  They are a pretty good place to shop for cameras and electronics.  They have reasonable prices usually too.  Or, perhaps, Costco.

What camera did you decide to purchase?

Yes, if they are difficult to deal with pre-purchase you can't expect anything afterwards.  As for shipping, do you have a friend or neighbor who could receive the package? 

I find tha Amazon Prime takes care if me. In fact I ordered a new AC adaptor for my Sony Video camera. They are taking it back no torubles becasue it was described in error.

At least your P.O. Box isn't in Hawaii, Sheila. There are many many businesses that refuse to ship anything at all to Hawaii.

And so the quest for a new camera continues.  I like your thoughts on difficult vendors.  Difficult up front means difficult always.
