We Had A Little Rain In Holiday FL We have had rain for the last week and a half. Not just a shower or two. We have had RAIN. My area has gotten over 6 inches in the last few days. Not too bad, no flooding.But Holiday, FL just a few miles from us, has received over 13". Lots of flooding and many people moved out of their homes because they had no power, no sewage, nothing.  The news showed the streets in that area: people were swimming, children were splashing, kayaks and small John boats were floating around taking their owners belongings to a temporary shelter. Lunch At Anclote Park, Holiday FLWe enjoyed lunch with old friends at one of our favorite restaurants, Ms. Vicki’s on the River in Holiday, FL, and we had time after filling ourselves up to wander out on the dock and take some pictures. It was a beautiful day.  (if you go, I heartily recommend the Fish Platter and the She Crab soup, my son loves the hamburgers.)   Anclote Park In Holiday FL is on the west coast of Florida on the Gulf of Mexico. Take Alt. 19 to Anclote Blvd.make a right on Bailey’s Bluff,  left at Anclote Marina.  Ms. Vicki’s is on the Anclote River which leads out to the Gulf.   Moochers Beware!   We had lunch at Miss Vicki’s on the River in Holiday, FL a few days ago. Miss Vicki’s is always good for water views and food. We love sitting outside under umbrellas and watching the water.   I took this picture of the boat moving out to the channel but didn’t realize there was a sign on the tree untill I developed it on my computer.     I’m sure the squirrels in the neighborhood are not liking this one bit. Funny thing is, we didn’t see a squirrel the whole time we were there. We did get visited by a couple of other moochers though. Maybe they should all get together to protest.         We didn't feed them even though they implored us to; they would just bring in a 100 of their friends and who needs 100 sea gulls at lunch?   What We Did On Our Saturday In Holiday, FL   We were out on a listing appointment in Holiday, FL. Afterwards, we stopped at Home Depot to buy a new ceiling fan. Ours  was growling at us all night.  Then, because it was a perfect day with low humidity and a lovely breeze, we decided that lunch at Ms. Vicki’s On The River would be our next destination.   What is this on the dock?     He was sleeping so peacefully but a boat pulled in and  woke him up.   Oh well, there were other things to watch on our Saturday.     It's great to eat outside looking at the water in Holiday, FL.
