Direct mail is very effective for our clients who commit to making it a consistent part of their overall marketing program.  Doing one off mailers is not as effective.  Oversized post cards are a great tactic because they stand out in the stack of mail and people are forced to hold and read them before tossing so your message gets transmitted.
