While in California during the month of June, I've been providing private Feng Shui consultations and workshops, I also made sure to save time to enjoy the great outdoors to hike. This time around, I swung by the Will Rogers State Historical Park in Pacific Palisades, CA.
I prefer not to write too much about what I saw, and instead provide you with just a couple of photos because it really deserves your in-person presence. I will say this, the land was once occupied by the Gabrielino/Tongva Nation until the 1800s due to colonization from Spain. Over the years this area remained untouched until the early 20th century, when Hollywood Actor, Will Roger's family called this 200-acre ranch home for about 24 years. After Mr. Rogers passing, his widow, Betty Rogers, deeded the ranch and its land (186-acre) to the State of California to be enjoyed as a public park and memorial to her late husband.
Besides exploring the historic park, you could also embark on guided hike through on the Backbone Trail through Topanga State Park, which from Will Rogers Historic State Park covers a 67.8 mile hike with a gain of 25,000 feet in altitude. WOW!
