Keep your face always towards the sunshine -

and shadows will fall behind you

--- Walt Whitman

If you landed on my blog post today, you're in luck! There is still time to live the life you always wanted. Green is for growing - keep growing! Light helps us see - keep looking! Don't worry that there are only six more months in the year, be thankful you're still here!

Tall plants and flowers in summer are a reminder to walk tall throughout the day. Find your strength and refuse to surrender. Keep your face to the sun and have no fear about shadows that creep up when unexpected.

I just need green, and I don't mean salads. Green grass, plants, and trees makes the season so much brigher. Green is the color of love, growth, and happiness. Green tea warms me up from the inside out.

Green rivers, dew on grass in the morning sun, a stroke of luck, I love the color green. It seems to go well with everything, purple, pink, yellow, red, and blue. Green is a symbol of energy!

Rain kisses green grass and it smells delicious. The color green mimicks the tranquility that is in high demand, desirable, a must have. "A rolling stone gathers no moss," meaning those who keep moving, without roots in place, avoids responsibilities. If you must move, settle for green, plant your roots and keep growing!

Patricia Feager, 6/25/18 - If you're looking to plant your roots in and/or around Flower Mound, TX and you need real estate, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Gotta love Canna Lilies, Patricia.  We had them in the garden of my childhood home.  I grow yellow ones in my garden now, as a tribute to my father.

Myrl Jeffcoat - I'm glad to know you still have your cherished childhood memories of growing Canna Lilies. I never saw them growing in Chicago or Northern, IL. The first time I set eyes on them was here in Texas. I thought they were so exotic and beautiful! I find that the larger the leaves, the more intrigued and attracted I am!

I can think of no finer way to honor your father than to grow yellow Canna Lilies in your garden. I'm guessing they are in bloom for Father's Day too?
