Run do not walk to buy rate and prices to go up

Industry Observer

If you are thinking of buying a new home, run do walk do not pass go. Prices are going up due to labor and materials are going up. The Houston area builders have put off raising prices for the last year, but the material and labor prices keep climbing so they have no choice but to raise prices. They are also planning to keep inventory low. Interest rates are on a gradual rise, so if you are thinking of buying a new home the time is now. Good evening Yolanda Cordova-Gilbert,

We are seeeing the same thing in Austin. Builders are having so many increased costs..they have to pass them on to the consumer!

Yes, it is time for those buyers who have been sitting on the fence, to jump off and run.

I read an article that talked about a nail manufacturing business that is having difficulty because of tariffs.  These tariffs are going to be passed on to the consumer in the form of higher costs.

People that aren't able to pull the trigger quick enough will have to pay more for a home in both ways.

Oh, this is so spot-on, Yolanda! There are more fence-sitters than I ever thought there would be in a market like this. I'm encouraging them to jump off too!

Happy Thursday!

Hi Yolanda... so how's this message working for you?  I've been pushing it for a while now, especially vis-a-vis home prices increasing... too many still don't listen and are now crying on my shoulder that they've been priced out of the market.
