Blogging For Buyers?

By
Home Stager with Staging Places
I am finishing a project management job on a large home in Northville and have discovered that the owner has been blogging about the amenities of the property; how much he and his wife enjoyed living on the 2.8 acres wooded lot, the in ground pool and what it was like to have a bathroom for every member of the family! This is the first time I have had a homeowner blog about a home they are selling. I think it is a wonderful way to get the word out and peak interest of buyers. We all know that the majority of people shop online before they even set foot in a property. The fact that he is taking the time to tell personal antidotes about his former home tells me, and hopefully buyers, that he enjoyed his time there and they will too. I stage so many homes; it is not often that I become emotionally attached to a property. My stager eye is trained to focus on making the property something that others will fall in love with. In this case though, I found myself lingering in the space. Sitting by in the pool area while I took my lunch break, walking through the woods, and listening to the birds. I certainly don’t consider myself a country girl but this house may make me change my mind! Bloging for buyers may just be the up and coming way to sell a home!

Heather~  What a smart seller.  Blogging for buyers is a great thing for the seller to do.  How did you find the blog? Or did he tell you he was doing that? Is it listed with a realtor?  Just curious.

I actually googled the address and it came up. The site is http://48265ninemileroad.wordpress.com/2008/05/17/northville-home-with-fitness-room/. Just so you know, the pictures he used are BEFORE I staged it!

It's about exposure, the more exposure we get as individuals the more exposure we create for our sellers.

Heather, that is a great story. Have you had any buyers tell you that they have seen the Blog?

I have created my own single property sites but I have not had a seller do it themselves with their own experiences and joyful times.

Here is one of my single sites that I just had a buyer call on and they plan driving 500 miles up here next week just to see this home. http://www.florence-oregon-real-estate.com/

Good luck with your listing. I would love to hear whether that Blog helps the sale.
