Spring cleaning is not just for homes.
Spring is a great time to address other aspects of your life that might need attention.
When it comes to blogging, there is no one season specific to updating and maintaining. It's important to go back now and then and review and revise.
The longer you blog, the better you get at it...it stands to reason that you should revisit your work and improve it...or delete it.
Yes, sometimes the best choice is hitting the delete button.
Two and a half years ago I read a post... Is Your Blog A Virtual Mess?
Written by Tammy Emineth, it inspired me to clean up my blog...more specifically the TAGS.
Thanks to Tammy's post I discovered that my most used tag was Wordless Wednesday.
Not exactly a term people search when looking online for a NH home stager.
I also realized that I had far too many tags with no consistency of their use.
I created a list of tags to start using and I changed the tag for my wordless posts to NH home stager wordless.
I started with my first post from January 2008 and continued revising until I had made it to posts written in August 2015. I eventually ran out of steam last year.
Thanks to Debe Maxwell, CRS and her current Spring Cleaning Challenge I'm back to updating.
In addition to changing the tags, I change spacing and text. I add photos and delete photos where needed.
For localism posts I sometimes have to add an UPDATE for info that has changed.
I check all links and delete or change the broken ones.
I may add a Featured Image if I feel the post needs it.
Sometimes I change a post enough that it can be used again as a new post. One such post Home Staging Is Not Just For Sellers, Reduce Stress When You Reduce Mess was recently featured!
Here are nine other posts that I've "staged" recently:
