In our part of the world...one of the things very often missing from a description in MLS is the School System. Sometimes only the system is listed and not the specific elementary, middle and high school students would attend who would live at that home.
Whether you work in relocation or not...listing schools in a property description is very important. Parents may be choosing a house that would not require their children to change schools and need to know if it would be the same elementary or middle school as they attend presently.
Often in relocation, parents are concerned with the academic offerings of one school over another. The ratings schools have...which can vary from source to source..may be important to a parent considering a home purchase.
What sports are offered is sometimes a parental concern. There may be a child working toward a scholarship who excells in a particular sport and an active athletic program can be a concern.
We have worked with parents who wanted their children to continue music lessons using very specific teaching methods and this program was an important factor in choosing a school system.
An important part of every agent's job is to educate the public about every listing...and Listing the education for a house is a part of that job. Some school systems have made it easy with maps or just putting the address in a search box will tell you the school to include in the listing. Other times, it may require a phone call to learn which schools are associated with a particular location.
Be professional...give the public the information they deserve on every listing and include the schools that students will attend at every level of education.
