The Wall from Mexico Side: Traveling in Arizona

During the last week I was traveling in the beautiful state of Arizona again and traversed to Yuma Arizona on the Colorado River and California and Mexico where the 3 places meet.

During the adventure, we crossed the Mexico border at the Port of Entry at Los Algondones, Mexico about 6 miles from Yuma on the California side of the Colorado River. Amazing to see so many pharmacies largely catering to Americans. These pharmacies sell prescription drugs far far less than the same US prescription drugs only with Mexico labeling instead of US labeling. Some are 1/6 the cost as in the US. The pharmacies are right at the border. Many Americans park the car on the US side and walk accross to buy the prescription drugs for far less than at Walgreens or CVS.

This price savings causes a daily crossing the border flow. Note, Americans are usually not stopped at all going into Mexico. However, there is a wait in Los Algondones of about 45 minutes if you travel by car, slower than by foot, to get back to the US side. Faster to walk accross both ways.

Los Algondones has some beautiful mature trees, including some giant Ficus, due to the high water table at the border with irrigation canals off of the Colorado River.

Morning Jeffery.

I've been to Mexico twice several decades ago.  With things the way they are now, don't know that I will ever go back

I never drove as far as Yuma from California as I generally headed south toward San Felipe.

Boy, you really dress up when you travel. Compared to how you dress, I'm a homeless person, ha, ha.
