My internet skills are very rustic. Advertising and getting your website going on the internet is all new to me.
I am also a pet sitter and love animals, have quite a few myself. If I had all the money in the world I would go shopping once a month and spend the rest of my time in n nature, garden and cooking and always the animals.
But I need to support myself with my family of pets.
Any ideas out there regarding getting your website on page one.

First of all. Welcome to Active Rain! It's good to see a new fellow notary on the list. I've been using Active Rain now for about 2 weeks. Yesterday I typed my name into Google and was surprised to see my Active Rain blog as the first entry. I know you're not expecting people to find you by typing in your name, but it was good to see that Google had already picked up my blog.
The best tip for getting picked up by Google and other search engines is to always put tags in the tag field separated by commas. Another great idea is to network with your friends who have websites and have them link to your website. Search engines follow links from one website to another. That's how they pick up web pages.

Thank you for your response. Question, what are tags in the tag field and commas. How do blogs get you up more on the search engines.
Sometimes this is overwhelming for me because I am so technical and really not understanding how the search engines work and work with blogs.
