So, I'm a bit late in recapping last month's best blog posts. That's mainly because June was a blur to me with my dad being in the hospital and rehab for around 4 weeks. Thankfully, he's back home now and getting better. We still have a long road ahead of us, but it's good to see him more normal again.
So now, I've been in catch up mode and trying to make July a spectacular month for my blog. Wish me luck.
Despite all of my personal worries, June was the best month I had so far on my blog. After fixing some broken things in May, June traffic was a bit over 284,000 pageviews and blog income was amazing.
Here are the articles I wrote during June:
Top 7 bathroom flooring trends for 2018-2019. I haven't written about bathrooms or tile trends for a while, so I thought it would be fun to that. As hardwood flooring takes up a much larger portion of the home, I focus on that more. But bathrooms remodels can make a big difference in this sanctuary area.
Retro coffee makers - This was just a fun article to write. I've been seeing one of the latest trends in kitchens is to get colorful appliances. But honestly, when it comes to appliances such as stoves and refrigerators, using a bright color is pretty polarizing and not real good for resale value. I'm sure they'll go out of style in a couple of years. And, unless you have a large budget to keep replacing these babies, they're not practical. But, for smaller and fun kitchen appliances like coffee makers or mixers, it's a fun way to add some color and style.
So I discovered that there are some sections of Amazon where you can get home decor items that are really inexpensive...under $10. They actually have this for many categories and believe the items change week to week. So, I highlighted a few of my favorites.
I also wrote a local post of where to see the fireworks in my county. I guess it's kind of irrelevant now, but the article generated 26,000 clicks and it was the #1 article on my site between July 1 and July 4th.
