The Little Birdie that Could (SouthPark Nature)
Ray was sitting out on the veranda this morning and watched this little baby fall from the nest. He kept trying to fly and finally got enough height to land on the fence's cross-bar. He tried and tried to fly off of the fence but, couldn't. The mother kept squawking at him and he just would not leave the fence. Ray called me outside and we watched for a few more minutes; still, he was not moving from his perch!
I thought I would go snap an up-close photo of him and as soon as I did, he mustered up the strength (or courage, not sure which one) to fly! We haven't seen any of his siblings leave the nest yet, nor have we seen him again - we hope he has flown off into the wild blue yonder...and lives happily ever after!
Living in SouthPark is a real treat - we live right in the very center of the city but, we are surrounded by nature. If you think you'd like to live in SouthPark, let's talk! I'm happy to give you the tour of our amazing community!
