~ Facebook Marketing Tips ~

Did you know that themed posts typically perform well on FB? With summer in full swing you can do a whole series on "fun things to do this summer in Podunk", generate some buzz around a favorite activity (places to swim, hikes, garden activities, etc.), and even capture a new audience with questions, polls, and contests that have summer related themes. You could even take a photo of something unusual in town and offer a "prize" (maybe your buyer or seller guide since many families move in the summer, a cooler for those beach trips, or something else your imagination dreams up) to the first person who guesses correctly. There are plenty of ways to jumpstart or grow your FB presence...using themed posts is one way!

Did You Know...According to Mobile Facebook there are 1.74 billion active FB mobile users, representing a 21% increase year-over-year. If you actively market a niche via FB, mobile users will find you!  ;-)

Did you know that using #hashtags in your FB posts is a good idea? Facebook doesn't mention them often, in fact they have not updated their hashtag guidelines in over 2 years, which is a long time on social media. Check out this excellent article on how you can best utilize Hashtags to improve your marketing, reachability, relevancy, and have a much better understanding of what is trending with your readers.

PLEASE stop by the 5 Facebook Business Pages below, LIKE their page, and leave a comment. It is always nice to reciprocate, so if you are visited, please take a moment and return the favor.

As always, enjoy Rainers!

Facebook Articles

This week many of the articles have a marketing spin to them because I firmly believe FB is a fantastic (and cheap) way to get our message to a specific audience, increase our brand exposure, or highlight a new listing, local niche, or highlight one of our epic real estate articles we want more consumers to see. Give Facebook marketing a try, Rainers!

Amanda: I did it a couple of years ago and the cooler was a big hit. In the fall I did a bbq and accessories and that went over great too.

No time like the present to kick things back into gear, Joan.

Jean: If your local peeps loved it, by all means you should start it back up.

How awesome is that! Kudos to you, Roy.

This is a good idea.   A couple of weeks ago, my July 4th local fireworks article did really well in FB...I posted in the local mom groups.  It got even more traffic from google.  26,000 clicks...10% just from FB.  And, I don't usually get much from FB (nor do I try that much LOL).  Cause and effect, right?

You are on to something with this post, Anita.  I hae tried to mix business with family and pleasure in a single FB page.  That has been the wrong approach.  I may fix that in the not so distant future.

I try to keep them separated with biz on the biz page, Myrl.
