In June of this year, on our last day in Utah, we drove out to the Snowbird ski resort which is located in the Ute Wasatch Cache National Forest. It took us an hour to get there and the terrain and vegetation was completely different.
Unlike, the Deer Valley Ski Area which has runs for every skill level, these mountains are quite rugged and the skiing is mostly for skilled intermediate and experts. Nevertheless the scenery was truly spectacular!

Hi Alexandra... your post reminded me of how different it looks in the Breckenridge area where our kids are in summer as opposed to in winter. This year a lot of the snow was gone already in May and it was like being in a different world. And I've been to the Alps in winter and summer... and again it's always astounding to see the difference.
