Pinterest does it again...and again

Home Builder with The Flooring Girl

As many of you know, I love pinterest.

First because it delivers an insane amount of traffic.  I'm currently getting over 100,000 pageviews per month!  Yes, 100,000!  Just from pinterest.

Second, I'm finding that Pinterest is helping the SEO on my I rank better and I rank FASTER.

So, it's a win win.

Actually, it's a bit more, because it's also a lot of fun, so I guess it's a win win win.

Here's another great example of how Pinterest just helped me.  11 days ago, I wrote this article on best paint colors for kitchen cabinets.  I had a hunch I could design some eye catching pins for pinterest, and I guess I was right.

So I was just checking my google analytics for this week and noticed that this article is #4 for the week with over 1,700 clicks (for this week).

The majority (95+%) is from pinterest.  Yes, my pins got repinned over 4,100 times already!  The most popular one is the pin about best grays...the water drop one.  You can see my pins by visiting the original article here.

The pins are the vertical images on the right that have words on them. You can't miss them. Several are doing very well.

Now here's the other cool thing.  After only 11 days, I'm starting to see organic traffic on the article, too.  The organic traffic is still very small.  The time on page for pinterest traffic is over 3 minutes and for organic traffic over 6 minutes. These are great stats and signs that this article will do well in the long run.

I'm thinking that maybe I should start offering pinterest coaching sessions (in addition to SEO consultations). What do you think?

I am a self professed Geek but was very slow to jump onto Pintrest.  The game changer for me was realizing the potential for remodels and new construction ideas!

I see thousands of homes a year, but I realized most of my clients don't see over 20 - 30.  I have started pinning things I like but I haven't started posting much yet.

I just read the two you posted and linked to.  I might be painting my cabinets in the near future so I have lots of research to do on that.  My cabinets have a very heavy wood grain pattern, so they might not be good to paint over since the wood grain patterns will possibly still bleed through.

Keep me in mind for your upcoming sessions.

That's very cool, Debbie. You are getting impressive results with Pinterest. AND you could coach others on this, too!

Interesting...My pinterest boards don't seem to get the traction yours do... . I wonder if the real estate pins aren't as popular as your "home improvement/remodels" in the pinterest world. Thoughts?
