Our first full day in Killarney included the Ring of Kerry. That route included a combination of ocean, islands, mountains, and ever changing weather. We made many stops, the first town was Killorglin where a eight arched bridge crossed the River Laune. The road decends from high above the bay to the water's edge at Kells. Kells is a neat fishing village.
We stopped for lunch at Huntsman resturant in Waterville and had a great fish lunch.
One of the highlights of the Ring, was an great view of the Blasket Island and the Dingle Peninsula. We went through Mol's Gap and Ladies View, named after Queen Victoria's ladies=in=waiting. The lakes and mountains were magnificent.
We were on our own for dinner that night and after the hearty lunch we found Murphy's Pub and I had a great salad with house dressing that was luscious and they wouldn't share their secret!!
More day 7 coming up
