Successful People do More Listening
It's interesting that we are taught to speak and to prepare for giving a speech. Some join the debate club. And yet, shouldn't we have seminars or classes on how to listen??
Successful People do More Listening
“Most of the successful people I’ve know do more listening
than talking.”
Bernard M. Baruch 1870 – 1965, American Financier,
Stock Investor, Philanthropist, Statesman,
Political Consultant
As I see it . . . . . . .
Successful people do more listening
The talker misses the real conversation that’s taking place . . . . They become far more likely to talk themselves out of the business.
Business communication plays an essential role in the exchange of information. It becomes a key element in really understanding the person that you’re communicating with.
As you communicate with that person . . . . you will build rapport with the person. That rapport will build a bridge to mutual understanding and trust in the relationship.
Also by listening to a person you’re showing respect for the person that’s speaking . . . .and that your interested in what they are saying.
In that process they will share their real motivation . . . . Their fears . . . . and give you all the information that you will need to help them.
The talker is so busy talking . . . . they have no clue, on what the other person is really saying or why they’re saying it.
Successful people do more listening . . . . and they will listening their way to a successful career of building successful and lasting business relationships.
