Yesterday Roy Kelley reblogged a very kind blog post that Ron and Alexandra Seigel wrote about me back on May 1st:
Active Rain Treasures: Ask & It is Given
I am grateful to Roy for reblogging the post and so appreciative of Ron and Alexandra for writing the post in the first place. A warm thank you to all three of you!
I have loved working with Ron and Alexandra and being a part of their team projects.
I HIGHLY recommend Napa Consultants if you are looking for Luxury Branding and Real Estate Marketing Strategy. Ron & Alexandra Seigel have such a wealth of experience and knowledge. They are a prominent and respected voice here in the Active Rain community, with excellent blog posts and great minds for strategy and marketing.
DETAILS MATTER
A couple of days ago, real estate copywriter Marte Cliff wrote an excellent post:
Why word choice and grammar really do matter.
I couldn't agree with her more, and in the near future, I will be reblogging it.
Given all of this recent activity in the Rain, it seems just as good of a time as any to announce my newest business venture:
Boles Editing and Proofreading
Notes:
I am not a copywriter, I will leave that to Marte Cliff, so head her direction, subscribe to her blog and newsletter, and keep her in mind for your copywriting needs.
I am also not a marketing and strategy specialist, I will leave that to Ron and Alexandra Seigel, so head their direction, subscribe to their blog, and check out their exceptional website, keeping them in mind for your marketing and branding strategy.
I am still the designated broker-in-charge for our real estate company,
Jon Gosche Real Estate. And that won't change.
I am able to fulfill all my duties overseeing the agents in our company as well as keeping track of files, earnest money deposits, and all the administrative duties that come with being a broker of record. However, this additional business pairs perfectly with my broker duties and I am able to successfully continue with both businesses.
John Boles and James Gannon are doing a fabulous job of successfully working with our clients, helping them buy and sell homes. (People love them. Read this. And this.)
With our clients in great hands, I'm able to pursue my passion for editing and proofreading.
Weird passion, right? But I love it!
Currently, I have two niches.
The first niche is real estate:
I edit and proofread anything real estate related: blogs, websites, listings, marketing, books, etc. Having been in this industry for 15 years helps me to successfully edit and proofread anything industry related.
The second niche is fiction:
For the last year, I have been editing novel-length and short story sci-fi and fantasy fiction.
And boy is that fun!
But, the truth is, while I am going to focus on those two niches when marketing myself, I am open to anything. At the moment I am in the middle of editing two separate code (yes, web design and development) books. I wasn't looking for it, but both circumstances just arose where it worked out.
I love this new venture!
While I doubt I'll ever be out of real estate brokering completely, or at least not for a very long time, I like leaving all of the client work with James and John and being able to grow this new business.
I'm so thankful that I have the opportunity to do it and that I have the wonderful community here in Active Rain to support me in it!
