Desert Highlands in the Coachella Valley, 45 acres of vacant land SOLD! The sellers were in Las Vegas, NV the buyers were in the Phillippines and the buyer's agents were in Beverly Hills, CA. Talk about use of technology. Primarily we communicated via emails, but to let the buyers know that an email was comming we used WHATSAPP. I used to call it the Terrorist means of communication when it came out. Now it is part of my routine to check it and notify my clients that they need to check their emails.

So you might wonder, why would a buyer from the Phillippines buy 45 acres of land in the Coachella Valley? I asked the same question. The answer was simple this was a distressed sale, hence a fanstastic value for even if they do nothing just hold on to it and resell.

The Reality is they are planning on making it into a Date Farm. Amazingly there is a huge Global Market for Dates. The challenge will take about five years to make it productive. Clearly even if they do not hold on to it but sell it as a Date Producing Farm it will have a huge upside to it as well. Congratulations to the new owners!
