Radio Day by the Bay 2018 – Live in Alameda on Saturday, July 21, 2018, from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. This is the Giant annual event and your chance to hear live music from Radio's Golden Age, see a radio play, bid on or purchase a radio from the past - the 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s - and at great prices. This year the event will be at Veterans Building Auditorium, 2203 Central Avenue in Alameda.
The Alameda’s Farmer’s Market is open to the public Saturday, July 21, and Tuesday, July 24 mornings from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, rain or shine. All the fruits and vegetables are available at great prices. So good! Don’t miss the opportunity to shop for delectable fruits, vegetables, and flowers. The market is on Haight Avenue at Webster Street and is open rain or shine.
Alameda South Shore Center and Off the Grid food trucks will be at South Shore on Saturday, July 21, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm in the South Shore Center parking lot in front of Petco.
Crab Cove for Family Nature Fun Hour for “Wonderful Whales” on Saturday, July 21 and Sunday, July 22, at 2:00 pm then see what is going on at the Visitor’s Center. Crab Cove is located at 1252 McKay Avenue. Please call 510-544-3187 for more information.
The Alameda Buddhist Temple Obon Festival on Saturday, July 21 from 4:00 pm to 8:30 pm. The Festival will feature live music, folk dancing, talko, flowers, carnival games, cultural exhibits, food and beverages at the Buddhist Temple at 2325 Pacific Avenue. For more information please call 522-5243.
Saturday, July 21 at 7 pm and Sunday, July 22 at 2 pm, Tomorrow Youth Repertory present “Les Miserables” at Michaan’s Theater at 2700 Saratoga Street in Alameda.
The Amazing Bubble Show on Sunday, July 22 at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm featuring art, magic, science, and fun. The show will be at Rhythmix Cultural Works at 2513 Blanding Avenue and features the Bubble Man. Tickets are $10 and $15. Please call 865-5060 for more information.
