Jack of All Trades

Mortgage and Lending with RU Prepared 2 Present

How many of you have herd the old phrase about the person who is a jack of all trades and a master of none? In this constantly changing market it is imperative that everone in the equation fully understand their role. It is the time for Realtors to work with and leave the lending questions to a trusted mortgage professional. Every good lender knows that guidelines are in many cases a floating target. It is a part of  a committed lenders day to keep up. There is nothing more frustrating to a lender than to have a Realtor in front of a client misquote how they think a loan program works.

Even more frustating are the realtors who double as multi-level credit repair counselors. Or the Real Estate coaches who now double as multi-level health product sponsors. I recently visited an Open House where the Realtor handed me her Real Estate Business card then her energy drink business card. when I asked her how she thought her broker would react to that she said he was her upline.

I know just enough about lots of things to be dangerous.

However, I think it a little unprofessional to hand you both cards at an Open House.

At least show you are totally committed to what you are doing in the moment.

Enjoyed your post.

Now that the market is slowed down, the multi level companies seem to see it as a great opportunity to recruit those who are looking for an easy way to make money.  Every time I see an agent who is doubling as a multi-level marketer, it irritates me because it is this kind of behaviour that undermines the work that real professionals do.  As it is, many consumers don't respect what agents do.  Those kind of split roles and part-time agents are only making it harder for the rest of us professionals who are in this business because we enjoy it.
