The Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, CA....
The Petersen Automotive Museum has been around since 1994 and it has been a very iconic building for many years. There used to be a car on the side of the building it was used as advertising to let everyone know what to expect inside. The building did not have any windows and I always wondered why not? Evidently the Petersen’s did not want the sunlight to damage the colors of the cars. I always thought the building was very interesting from the outside. Now I will have to dig up an old photo of what it looked like before.
Then in 2015 the museum underwent a massive renovation. The building’s façade was redesigned by the architectural form of Kohn Pedersen Fox and if you look at the photo you will notice the stainless-steel ribbon assembly. According to Wikipedia it consists of 100 tons of 14- gage type 304 steel in 308 sections and 25 supports. Well just look at this picture and I am confident you will be impressed.
If you are into cars this is a must visit destination on your next visit to Los Angeles. Let me entice you Magnum P.I. ‘s Red Ferrari 308 GTB is to be seen from close up. If you are a fan of Steve McQueen, then you could see his 1956 Jaguar XKSS anyway the list goes on and on. Needless to say there are many other cars after all Los Angeles is a driving city and has been since its inception.

Might as well plan spending about 3-4 hours if you want to see most of the interesting exhibits.
