My Tribute To Our Soldiers and Their Families

By
Real Estate Agent with Realtor

I guess I am one of those people that doesn't really know exactly how to celebrate Memorial Day.  I know I am grateful for the freedoms we have, and I know that they were achieved at a high personal cost to our troops and their families.  I guess I feel that to celebrate is wrong.  To have reverence, an attitude of thanks and gratitude, and to take time to pray for our troops and remember those who gave their lives for us, Yes.

Here are my thoughts:Go to fullsize image

God, watch over our troops,  bring them home safe, don't let their sacrafice be a waste.

Let our nation be grateful, and show them respect, for we know their job isn't finished yet.

Help us to give their families support, find ways to show them we all care, and offer them a special prayer.

And let us give thanks for those who have gone before, and give them the key when they come to your door.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Respectfully,

Kathryn, That was perfect. I am like you - it was a very long day watching videos and reading and remembering people lost. When someone would say "Happy Memorial Day" I would just cringe.

It comforts me to know that I am not the only one who feels the way I do.  Thank you for your comments.

I think you hit it right on the head.  Memorial Day is our chance to at least, once a year, honor those who have sacraficed everything for us.  God Bless You.
