I heard this quote this morning:
Letting go of your past is not about having the courage to overcome your fears of letting go, but the courage to embrace the present moment.
It got me thinking, as a waterfall of thoughts poured through my mind. Letting go of the past is not forgetting what has happened, letting go is to be present with all those memories providing wisdom on how to deal and cope with the present moment. Not allowing fear of the past, or past happenings with a person or an event to stop you. But allowing that wisdom, taking what you have learned in the past of what does not work and trying a different path. Embracing this moment to walk a different path, one filled with success, one where you reach the conclusion of your journey as you envision it.
I think of those inventors who failed over and over, but tried a different method till they succeeded such as Thomas Edison.
Hope this helps you today, it was a light bulb moment, sorry for the pun, for me.
