Self Control... it's sooooo hard!

Real Estate Agent with Jameson Sotheby's International Realty

I had an appointment this morning... and when I parked in the parking lot, here is the little beauty I saw.

She was so unique... not beautiful, but so different than everything you see on the road today.

And to make it sweeter, she was sexy too... she was topless.

I went to investigate... I couldn't find a nameplate, as I looked around, but found the name Metropolitan... in my investigation, I found that it was a 1960 Nash Rambler Metropolitan.

Very cool... I wanted to put a note on it asking if they wanted to sell.

I held myself back... and didn't.

Alan, I'd excuse you if you lost it over a Metropolitan! When i was a growing up in Guerneville, California we had a "Farrier"  who had his anvil mounted in the rear of an old Metropolitan like this one. NOT a convertible, he wasn't very sexy anyway but he was an old crusty Italian guy, wore a cowboy had, spoke few words but put  horseshoes on every horse in the county. The Metropolitan had a 4 banger MG engine. Could of had the "crank" mechanism which the old MG's had in the 50's also. He'd drive that thing everywhere and at about 25 mph! Next time exclaim your love!

My dad had one of these cars  and my cousin put a wind up crank on the back right above the spare tire Alan. It was a classic prank and my dad loved it...

I remember when we had Metropolitans on the streets.  I always wanted one, just like that one. . .A convertible.  But, I wanted mine to be red and white!

Morning Alan.

I know I don't look like it, but I can remember those on the highway when I was a youngster.

Hi Alan, the older I get, the more I appreciate older cars. I can sing the "Little Nash Rambler" song but don't think I've ever seen one in person...either that or I had no idea what it was.

This was a total nerd car back in its day but now it has that retro cool facotr and I love the look. Remember that they used it in Clueless?
