Things have been busy here in Plain! Last week we picked up tons of new listings just in time for Memorial day weekend.I don't have numbers yet...but I will be checking. The hardware store and the grocery store were packed with folks visiting(working on) their cabins and people on vacation enjoying the area. Looks like gas prices didn't affect things much around here. I showed 7 homes on Saturday and 1 on Sunday. I will be writing offers today on 2 of them today. Ironically, the 2 I am writing on happen to be For Sale By Owner properties that are woefully underpriced. As a side note, this is a prime example of why to use and embrace your LOCAL Real Estate Agent. We know how to price your home! I'm anxious to check the MLS later and see how many properties go pending today. Most of the cabins I showed had multiple new cards on the kitchen table. I had an open house on Sunday on River Rd. It was not a success as far as buyers stopping by, but I did get a chance to spend some time at the property and gain more knowledge about its many benefits. What a tranquil place! Well, time to get the kids to school and myself to work. It promises to be a busy day...and I am ready.
Yes, it's been busier here on the southern coast of California, too. My open house Sunday was very busy, not a moment to rest.
Plain is a great vacation spot and beautiful country summer and winter. My clients invested a few years back and have no problems renting out to the vacationing crowd winter and summer.
I am a big fan of that area.
Have a great year.
We spent the afternoon previewing in Plain today. I wonder if the FSBOs are underpriced or if we are just getting used to overpriced listings. There were some horrifically priced homes we looked at today. I think the problem is too many part time agents - if you aren't working with buyers you aren't as aware of where the prices should be.
Great blog, thank you for sharing with a/r community. Have a wonderful week.
